Tank Lining

Tank Repair and Refurbishment

We provide long term protection for a wide range of tanks and vessels for storage, treatment, process and even road, rail and sea transport applications. As a result, we have developed expertise in the management of coating programs for tankage and vessels used in environments as diverse as sewage treatment, activated carbon filtration, chemical and hydrocarbon storage and offshore oil processing.

Our specialist coating systems (laminates and fiber glass matting), protect tanks and vessels against hazardous materials and chemicals, adding strength and stability when in service. In many cases, these coatings have remained in service for up to 20 years without requiring further maintenance.

Typical applications include:

  • Acid pickling tanks
  • Ballast tanks
  • Effluent tanks
  • Fresh water tanks
  • Galvanization dipping tanks
  • Seawater holding tanks

We have a large on-site blasting facility at our workshop based in Florida to abrasive blast and prepare tanks for coating. In addition, we can send crews to perform turnkey tank lining projects and / or work with resident contractors to support application, training and quality control, quality assurance to ensure optimal installation of our tank lining systems. Our specialist coating teams are experts in using spray application. All coatings are tested for coating thickness to prescribed requirements in addition to full holiday testing via high voltage spark testing to ensure continuity of the coating and quality finish on all work.

In addition, we have a unique and robust method for repair of floors on large bottom tanks. We achieve this with the use of advanced composite materials, without the need for over-plating. We carry our repairs without hot work, creating either single or double skin solutions. As a result, these can be monitored remotely, in line with the performance levels these environments demand.

Our AMPP (NACE) qualified inspectors provide a thorough inspection and advise on the scope of works required.
