In Situ Pipe Lining via Pipe Pigging
This technique allows for lengths of pipe up to 20 miles long to be refurbished with access only from each end. Pipes are first mechanically and them chemically cleaned to create an SSPC SP10 (S.A. 2.5) equivalent surface. Utilizing similar technology presently utilized in pipe cleaning / lining via “pigging”, pipes can be lined with a composite coating system or a thick film composite liner of between 1 mm to 1/2″ inch applied into the pipeline, in both cases the lining is fully bonded to the existing pipe wall and offers excellent performance even in gaseous applications.

Lining after two pigs runs – coating thickness is 60 – 80 mils dft after two runs.
After 6 – 8 runs, 3/8” thick Glassflake Reinforced Polymer (GRP) pipe within a pipe.
