Suggested use

A general purpose filler,repair compound and adhesive, with
excellent bonding to many types of surface

Application equipment

Short haired stiff brush, trowel, float or similar tools.

Surface preparation

Surface should be free from oil and grease and
should be roughened to obtain a suitable key.

Pot life

Variable with temperature and mass, but approximately:
70°F (21°C) 45-55 mins
85°F (29°C) 35-40 mins
100°F (38°C) 20-25 mins

Packaging

2.2 lbs (1kg) & 11 lbs (5kg).

Storage life

2 years minimum in unopened tins, stored at 41-104°F (5-
40°C).

Abrasion resistance

Good.

Mixing ratio / mixing

7:1 base to activator by weight. Remove lids from both components A-Activator and B-Base and scoop out all of component ‘A’ putting into component ‘B’. Mix thoroughly
ensuring that no unmixed materialremains. Remove all mixed material from base tins and re-mix on a clean flat surface or shallow receptacle. After mixing, the materialremains usable for a limited period dependent upon temperature, after which
time application becomes difficult.

Catalyst type

Polyamine.

Good.

Mixing ratio / mixing

Cure time

Variable dependent upon film thickness and substrate, but
approximately 6-7 hours for full cure. However, material may
be usable in service before full cure state is attained. The
material will harden in relatively thin films within 2-2.5 hours.
Should a second application of Genmend be required, this
should take place over the first application within 18 hours.

Mechanical strength

Excellent.
